Duas Quintas Offers New Year Algarve Walking Holidays
Duas Quintas celebrates the New Year with a special three day Algarve walking holiday
Silves, Portugal, November 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Duas Quintas, a rural bed and breakfast in the Silves region of the Algarve, has developed a special three day walking holiday for guests to the Algarve who want to celebrate the New Year in a different way this holiday. The programme is suitable for walkers of all levels of ability and is specifically developed for couples or small groups who want to combine a walking holiday with the opportunity to discover rural Portugal. It is also an enjoyable and healthy way to start off the New Year.
Walkers will be collected at Faro airport, (if required), transported to and from all walks, provided with walking notes and maps and even driven to the local restaurant for dinner each night. Also included in the package is 3 nights bed and breakfast accommodation and a packed lunch to take on each walk.
Les Cave, who developed the package explained: 'many walkers do not want to walk in large groups but do not have the time or local knowledge to develop the routes for themselves. Our New Year walking break is a mini version of our longer walking holidays. Guests love the way we take care of all the details, it leaves them free to enjoy their holiday right from the start'.
The Algarve is an ideal winter holiday destination, enjoying an average of six hours of sunshine per day. Walkers staying at Duas Quintas guesthouse have a variety of landscapes to explore including wonderful coastal scenery, pretty farming villages and almost untouched expanses of hillsides and valleys. The package available at Duas Quintas offers three very different walks, each providing its own unique opportunity to experience a little bit more of rural Portugal.
Speaking about the promotion Mary Cave said: "many tourists do not get the opportunity to visit the interior of the Algarve, yet this is probably one of the most interesting parts to see. Life runs at a slightly different pace here, people still have time to grow their own produce, continue with local handicrafts and cook in traditional style. There is always time for a smile and a chat".
The Duas Quintas New Year Algarve walking holiday runs from December 31st to January 2nd but dates are flexible and the programme can be adapted if requested.
