About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

Stockings hung from a mantel piece at Christmastime hold small gifts. Some delight, while others disappoint. Some we anticipate; others surprise us. We can see, taste, hear, smell, or feel most of our gifts; but there are a few that, as Helen Keller once said, can only be “felt with the heart.” Usually, we know a gift when we see one; however, every now and then, something will come along that we won't recognize or appreciate as being the gift that it is until later on, if even then.

Collected here are five stories about gifts and giving, stories that may cause laughter and stories that just might bring a tear to the eye. They range from a story about a child during the dark days of World War II who yearns for Santa to bring him a bicycle to a tale about a lawyer who lands in jail with a drunken Santa.

Five Stockings. Five Stories. Each filled with the presence of Christmas.

Deftly constructed at 99 pages, Five Stockings: Christmas Stories is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Religion / Holidays / Christmas & Advent category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Five Stockings meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $10.95 and $24.95, respectively.

Additionally, Five Stockings can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press wholesale online bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/buybooks
