Extentia Information Technology Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
Extentia Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. is celebrating 10 years in business in style. Rather than marking the milestone with a one-off event, Extentia has instead opted for a series of events throughout the year.
Pune, India, December 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- After 10 years in business, Extentia Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. is celebrating in style. Rather than marking the milestone with a one-off event, Extentia has instead opted for a series of events throughout the year.
The 10 year anniversary kicked off in February with ‘Live It!’ – a special event for all Extentia staff. Employees were randomly assigned to into themed teams (such as ‘Village’, ‘Disco’, ‘Beach’, and ‘Railway Station’) before team members dressed up in costume and really ‘lived’ their assigned theme for the day.
The response was impressive. As Celina Ramchandran (HR Manager) explains, “Staff participation is already huge part of the Extentia company culture. But the response for Live It! was amazing. The Rock Concert team set up a real stage, the Disco team set up their own dancefloor, and best of all, the Village team arrived on a bullock cart. Everyone had a great time.”
Next up was the Extentia 10 Year Anniversary Party, held at Pune Club on 6 March. The party was a great opportunity for Extentia team members, friends, family and customers to get together. Again, employee participation was significant, with team members showing off their hidden talents through several songs, choreographed dances, and skits. Guests were also able to learn about Sakaar – Extentia’s corporate social responsibility wing.
A further celebration was a small event to honor Extentia’s longest-serving staff members, during which a specially prepared cake was enjoyed by everyone. “Extentia has some of the best staff retention rates in the industry,” says Ramchandran. “So it’s not surprising that we have team members who have been with us over a number of years.”
Marc Cremer (Director) describes the original Extentia ethos. “When we started Extentia we knew we wanted to do something different. We don’t just provide IT services to our customers – we actually provide IT solutions. It’s this level of expertise that distinguishes us from others in the industry.”
Continuing innovation
Although Extentia is now firmly established, the company continues to innovate, points out Umeed Kothavala (Director). “We’ve just launched iXtentia.com, specifically to highlight our design and development services for Apple’s iPhone platform. It’s an exciting move for us and demonstrates how enthusiastic we are about exploring new opportunities.”
Despite taking time to reflect about the past decade, it seems that Extentia isn’t standing still. “It’s a definitely a milestone for us, but we’re also looking towards the future,” says Kothavala. “We’ve got some great projects lined up for 2010 and we’ll continue to provide excellent service to all our customers and partners.”
