Rockville Creative Inc. Produces Video Content for Calypso St. Barth
Short Films Part of New Integrated Marketing Strategy for Luxury Retailer
New York, NY, December 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Rockville Creative Inc. has been selected by women’s luxury lifestyle retailer Calypso St. Barth to produce original filmic content for a targeted and interactive marketing campaign. The films, which include a conceptual ‘moving looks’ piece and brand mood short, will be featured on the Calypso website and as video web ads. The brand film will star in a four-day blitz on NY10 Taxi TV in New York City, premiering December 7, 2009.
Rockville partnered with Creative Consultant Deb McKeand of Worktable NYC to create the two films for Calypso’s 2009 Cruise campaign. The cinematic element will work in concert with print imagery by fashion photographer Matt Albiani to evoke a stylized mood that captures the understated, easy glamour and resort heritage of the brand.
“Video advertising has moved well beyond television.” says Shannon Goldman of Rockville Creative. “It’s not only the fastest-growing segment of the Internet ad market, it’s all around us -- replacing print ads on the web, on street billboards and in taxi cabs. And now, with broadband penetration practically everywhere, people expect video on the websites they visit.”
“When you take the TV media buy out of the equation, video advertising suddenly becomes more economically viable than ever before,” adds Rockville partner, Michael de Avila. “Brands are realizing that without a video component, seasonal campaigns are missing out. We’re seeing the demand for consumer-targeted video productions double every year.”
