Sunera Promotes Joe Sechman to Lead Its Penetration Testing Practice
Sunera has promoted Joe Sechman to Director of its Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment Practice.

Mr. Sechman will lead Sunera’s Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment Practice and be responsible for its methodology development, staff management and client delivery. Furthermore, he will play a key role in all business development activities related to practice and its service offerings. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and former Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), among other professional designations.
Since joining Sunera as a Manager in September of 2007, Mr. Sechman has delivered multiple penetration testing and vulnerability assessment engagements, PCI Authorized Scanning Vendor (ASV) services, and source code reviews. Most notably, he led Sunera's ethical hacking program for one of the United States' largest financial institutions that lasted nearly two years with the delivery of over 150 application security assessments.
Prior to joining Sunera, Mr. Sechman led and managed the professional services group within HP/SPI Dynamics, Inc. as part of the SPI Labs R&D team. He has also held positions as a web application developer and Linux systems administrator with the Georgia Department of Audits and as a senior security consultant with EnterEdge Technology LLC; an Atlanta-based managed security services provider (MSSP).
