Ron Gordon’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament Raises $6,000

Sarasota, FL, December 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ron Gordon, an agent with Xena Vallone Realty, Inc., recently presented the Humane Society of Sarasota County with a check for $5,500, part of the $6,000 raised from Ron Gordon’s 5th Annual Humane Society Golf Tournament.

Held annually at the Bent Tree Country Club, this year’s event took place in the pouring rain. More than 80 dedicated animal lovers braved the weather to participate in raising money for the worthy cause.

The Humane Society provides abandoned pets with compassionate care and shelter, offers pet adoptions, humane education, affordable spay/neuter services, and programs for children, seniors and those with special needs. The organization relies on community funding to pursue its mission of promoting responsible pet ownership and securing permanent homes for all adoptable animals.
