MacSams Tyres Targets £500,000 in Sales by End of Year One
Following their launch several weeks ago, MacSams Tyres are keen to report positive sales and initial customer feedback.
Edinburgh, United Kingdom, December 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Discounted tyres website MacSams Tyres has reported positive results both on sales and customer feedback since launching just a few weeks ago. The website was officially launched at the start of November and although MacSams Tyres have only been trading for several weeks, a goal of half a million in sales is being targeted for the end of year one.
The goal is based on the initial performance and based over a twelve month period. Part of the confident target is to double the number of fitting centre locations that MacSams are partnered with, by the end of year one. This will bring the total number of tyre fitting centres working with MacSams Tyres to 800.
Additional plans include the introduction of a UK wide mobile tyre fitting service, again anticipated for the end of the first year. While initial results have been better than expected, owner Greg Allison is keen to highlight that MacSams Tyres are still learning.
“The results so far have been really positive and we have exceeded our own expectations on every level. It is very early days however and we are still learning the market so I believe we can improve our service even further. The volume of referral business we have had since our launch has been phenomenal for such a short space of time and this will only increase as word spreads. In fact some customers have been reporting that we have saved them as much as £170 versus the competition.”
MacSams Tyres is Greg Allison’s second online venture. Garages4You, his first business and a business which he is still deeply involved with, has been of great benefit in getting MacSams Tyres profitable so quickly.
Garages4You provides UK drivers with discount MOT deals throughout the UK, when booked through the Garages4You website. Users of the service can then visit a local MOT testing station which Garages4You have partnered with at a discounted rate exclusive to Garages4You users. The website is also helped by its strong community of MOT enthusiasts who are encouraged to review each garage and MOT testing station they use in order to help other drivers make a better and more informed decision.
Recently Garages4You launched their discounted MOT service in London as well as a series of MOT-only garages which can be booked through the Garages4You website.
MacSams Tyres was founded from feedback and suggestions from within the Garages4You community. Seeing a demand for another discounted tyres retailer, Greg Allison saw his opportunity to launch the MacSams Tyres website.
Plans for other garage related websites are in the pipeline; however these will not be announced until 2010.
