Symmetry Advisors Announces ARRA Funding for Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc.

San Diego, CA, December 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Symmetry Advisors announced today that Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc. (IOS) of Torrance, California, has been awarded Administrative Supplement funding by the National Institutes of Health, under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, for the development of a nanosensor platform technology for early detection of ovarian cancer.

The ARRA funding request was supported by commercialization research and planning services provided by Symmetry Advisors. According to Dr. Glenn Bastiaans, Senior Scientist and Group Leader at IOS, Symmetry's work product represented a 10x improvement over the quality of commercialization inputs delivered to IOS by previous external service providers.
