SkyView Microwave™ provides engineers with the ability to design Microwave and Broadband Networks with a direct Google Earth™ interface and 3D network display.
SkyView Microwave™ uses IEEE algorithms and produces industry standard accurate link budgets automatically while giving the designer the ability to view and analyze line of sight and Fresnel zone clearance relative to terrain and obstructions in 3D through a direct interface with Google Earth™. The software lends the ability to make immediate critical design changes and instantaneously view the resultant path budget, reliability calculations, Crane rain fade calculations, path profiles and print summaries on demand.
With SkyView Microwave™, the user can design radio paths from new proposed sites or existing site data which can easily be imported from several formats. The software allows the designer to filter the paths based on design criteria and quickly make system design decisions ensuring the best paths are built keeping CAPEX to a minimum.
SkyView Microwave™ also offers a choice of 3D towers and antennas that provide a truly accurate representation of the actual path between two sites. The software produces a soft copy “project” that can be recalled and modified for future system design requirements and also produces a Google Earth™ .KMZ file. These files are an accurate data repository of the equipment and specifications in a microwave or broadband radio network.
Because they’re self contained, the Google Earth KMZ files created in SkyView Microwave can be emailed or shared via the web with executives, engineers, site acquisition, construction and operations personnel who can easily retrieve and display all site and path engineering data within the project.
