Infoble Inc. announced today the launch of the audio edition of the popular newspaper column The Straight Dope, presented by Ska Brewing.

The Straight Dope column, whose motto is “Fighting Ignorance Since 1973 – It’s Taking Longer Than We Thought,” provides entertaining, informative answers to many of life’s most vexing questions. Appearing weekly in 24 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada, the Straight Dope is written by Cecil Adams, the self-described world’s most intelligent human. Over the years Adams has addressed questions such as:

“Now that iTunes downloads are closing in on the seven billion mark, it’s an appropriate time for the column to be available as a podcast,” said Adams, known for his cautious approach to technology. “I think we may be approaching the end of the early adopter stage.”
Ska Brewing of Durango, CO has agreed to be the exclusive sponsor of The Straight Dope Audio Edition. Ska has been brewing award-winning craft beers since 1995, and has been drinking them for much longer than that.
“We’ve been fighting evil breweries like Rotgutzen since we started, and we thought that The Straight Dope’s battle against ignorance was a good match, since both battles are taking longer than we thought,” said Dave Thibodeau, co-founder and president of Ska Brewing Co. and a long time Straight Dope reader. “This partnership is about nothing less than the battle between good and evil.
