Petals Network Launches Flowers for Charity
Petals Network and Wesley Mission's partnership has taken a new turn. Petals Network has launched a new website called www.flowersforcharity.com.au. The website aims to increase the exposure and fundraising efforts of a number of charities Petals Network supports.
Armidale, Australia, December 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Wesley Mission and Petals Network partnership is taking a new turn. The launch of the flowersforcharity.com.au website by Petals Network is aimed at increasing funding and increasing the exposure of a number of charities. “The aim of flowers for charity is to increase the exposure of a number of charities our business supports” said Samantha Hammond, Operations Manager at Petals Network. "We have always found the service provided by Petals Network to be excellent... both in the speed of delivery and product quality” said Robert Sharpe of Wesley Mission. The new website indicates a rejuvenation of the charity flowers project.
Wesley Mission was the first charity to join the charity flowers program. Robert Sharpe also said “Over the years of our relationship, the generosity shown by Petals Network has proven that they are genuine in their desire to assist charities with their fundraising.” The partnership began in 2002 and since then Petals Network has received over 5000 orders for charity flowers. Wesley Mission has received about $90 000 from these orders. Wesley Mission is a non-for-profit organisation providing services to the community. These include counseling, aged care health, youth, family and education. Since its beginnings in 1812 it has aimed at providing social justice for the poor and needy. It has over 200 centers in Sydney and New South Wales.
“Anyone can show their support for the charity” Samantha Hammond added. They can buy charity flowers and send them to family and friends through the website. With each purchase a portion of the total order value will be donated to the charity. flowersforcharity.com.au offers new features previously not available to customers ordering charity flowers through Petals Network. Each charity has its own webpage and information about the charity. “This way a person can choose the charity they wish to support” Samantha Hammond went on to say.
