Galvanized Scales Replace Deteriorating Concrete Scales

The concrete deck had severe cracking and deterioration due to the construction. The plates on top and bottom actually seal in moisture and promote sweating, causing corrosion from the inside out. Brechbuhler Scales’ Cincinnati Branch proposed the installation of a galvanized B-TEK scale as a replacement solution, providing the client with a durable steel deck scale combined with the longevity of the galvanized finish.

Removal of the existing scale was by Brechbuhler Scales, as well as installation and testing of the new galvanized truck scale. Downtime was avoided during the 4 day procedure, because the installation was coordinated during a scheduled shut down.
