John C. Lincoln Health Network is Among "Best Places to Work" in Phoenix, AZ
John C. Lincoln Health Network ranks among top, large employers in the Phoenix metro area for “Best Places to Work” for creating a positive work environment.
Phoenix, AZ, December 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- John C. Lincoln Health Network has been named among the “Best Places to Work” in the Phoenix metro area for having created a positive, productive work environment that retains valued employees.
“John C. Lincoln co-workers are among the best in health care. I am proud that we have created an environment that can attract and retain the very best people. The best people create hospitals, practices and clinics that provide superior care and service to our community,” said Rhonda Forsyth, president and CEO of John C. Lincoln Health Network.
John C. Lincoln Health Network ranked third this year among “Extra-Large Sized Businesses,” a category that includes Valley businesses with more than 3,000 employees. The rankings are based on a survey of co-workers at the companies. The survey was conducted in September, and the recipients were announced on Dec. 10, 2009.
The Best Places to Work program is designed to establish positive outcomes for companies that make the list, including increasing their financial performance. Some of the specific areas of improved financial performance that firms with better workplace practices have experienced are:
Lower turnover costs. Companies on the Fortune “100 Best” list have turnover rates that are typically about one-half that of their industries.
Ability to attract and retain higher quality candidates.
Lower costs associated with the negative aspects of bad workplaces – better attendance, lower medical costs resulting from stress-related illness, fewer on-the-job accidents.
Higher levels of innovation and risk-taking.
More pride and a higher degree of satisfaction among the employees.
The award is given by the Best Places to Work in the Valley of the Sun, a consortium that bases its results on employee feedback. Rankings were based on employee opinion surveys analyzed by Quantum Market Research of Omaha, Neb., the research partner for Best Place to Work competitions in 40 U.S. cities.
