Retrotech Receives Certification from Crane Institute of America

Victor, NY, December 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Retrotech Crane Hoist Service Technicians successfully completed a three-day certification program with the Crane Institute of America (CIA). The class, led by Wendell Gray of the CIA was followed by a four-hour certification test.

OSHA only requires a “competent” person to inspect cranes, However, Retrotech took the initiative to undertake and pass the CIA certification course. Fran Delooze, Manager of the Crane Hoist Service group remarked “We can expect that certification will eventually be required for all service/field technicians. Our participation in the training has refined the problem identification skills of our technicians, increased customer perception of safety, and augmented business development opportunities for the Crane Hoist Group.”
