X Games Rally Car Driver Ramana Lagemann Partners with Action Sports Firm
San Diego, CA, October 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Headstrong Interactive Marketing, Inc., a premier sports and entertainment management company, announced today that it has signed professional X Games rally car driver Ramana Lagemann, for exclusive representation and development in sponsorship, endorsement, broadcasting and marketing; it was announced today by Mark Pages, Managing Director, Headstrong Action Sports.
Headstrong will immediately pursue endorsement, sponsorship and licensing opportunities for Lagemann with companies strategically involved with motor and action sports for the 2007 Summer X Games and the Rally America National Championship series.
“Ramana is a focused competitor, knowledgeable in his sport and is the perfect fit to launch our firm’s rally representation initiatives,“ said Pages. “Given his proven track record, experience and recent success in rally, we’re confident that he’ll be a force in his sport in the upcoming seasons!”
Lagemann qualified and contended for gold in the inaugural X Games 12 Rally, competing against top rally talent including World Rally Championship veteran Colin McRae and Subaru Rally Team USA driver and motocross champion, Travis Pastrana.
“With the inclusion of Rally in the X Games, the sport is riding a wave of exposure and popularity. I am thrilled to be able to carry that momentum forward into the 2007 season with a firm like Headstrong,” explained Lagemann. “I am confident that my competition experience and Headstrong’s management expertise will prove to be a winning partnership now and in the future!”
Lagemann is considered the fastest American rally driver in competition. In 2002 he was selected by Subaru of America to drive for their high profile factory squad, Subaru Rally Team USA. At the age of 22, Lagemann became the youngest driver on a factory-backed team, as well as the youngest professional driver in the U.S. Championship. Lagemann also became the first American since 1990 to contest a round of the WRC when he competed in the World Rally of New Zealand, outpacing many other WRC veterans.

About Rally Racing
There are no ovals, pace cars or rain delays. Rally racing features real cars racing against the clock on closed-off sections of real roads that are usually unpaved and unforgiving. Events can last several days and cover hundreds of miles day and night through rain, snow, dust and mud. This extreme test of skill, speed and endurance is what makes rally racing the world’s most popular and most exciting motor sport, and one that is quickly growing in North America (source: Rally America).
