Sauvage Swimwear Gets a New Online Presence
Durrani Design gives the sophisticated swimwear company a new web look.
San Diego, CA, December 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Durrani Design is excited to announce the launch of the newly redesigned Sauvage Swimwear website at www.sauvagewear.com. Sauvage produces some of the world’s most elegant and glamorous swimwear for women and men. They partnered with Durrani Design to produce an online showcase for their brand and a rich online experience for their customers.
Durrani employed a clean, classic design for the site, with a black and white palette and pinstripe lines. The goal was to focus on showcasing the intricately designed products and stunning photography that Sauvage is known for, letting the product itself take center-stage.
This design was applied in several ways to create a multi-faceted online experience for the Sauvage shopper. The site begins with a Flash introduction, and then employs a javascript-based gallery, a MIVA Merchant shopping cart, and a WordPress platform for the company’s news and media features. As the viewer moves from one area of the site to the next, the design elements remain the same to create a cohesive and seamless transition. Joe McDonald of Durrani Design said, “We wanted to create an experience that was as close as possible to being in the front row on the runway and walking into the retail shop.”
