Cary Visual Art, Inc. Announces Temporary Art Exhibits
Local Artists Display their Talent
Cary, NC, October 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Laura Coats, executive director of Cary Visual Art, Inc. has announced that three temporary sculptures have been added in Cary. Nemesis, recently placed in Ashworth Village, was created by renowned local artist Paris Alexander. It is a figurative piece made of limestone and will be on display through spring 2007. The second installation is Brownie, which was installed at the Herbert C. Young Community Center and is a life-sized horse sculpture created by local artist William Brian Hibbard. The artwork was made from found objects and scrap metals and will also be on display through the spring of 2007. The most recent installation is Ecclesiastes (War Wagon) by Phil A. Simpson of Boerne, Texas. The sculpture is currently in place in front of the Page-Walker Arts and History Center and will remain on display until the summer of 2007.
“We are pleased to support the work of local and national artists,” said Coats. “These sculptures are one of a kind and we look forward to the community going to the exhibits and enjoying what has been created by talented artists from North Carolina and beyond.”
