Tampa, FL, December 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Highland Homes was one of many Florida home builders who were recently recognized for their outstanding sales performance for the past 12 months. The Tampa Bay Builders Association held their annual Awards of Excellence at the Improv at Ybor City, which has come to be regarded in the Tampa real estate industry as some of the most prestigious awards given.
Sales people throughout the Tampa area were rewarded for their hard work and dedication to the new home industry and achieving a high success rate for sales. Highland Homes had 15 sales people with sales over 1 million dollars, 6 who achieved over 3 million and 2 who achieved over 6 million dollars. Gene Kucher, the community sales manager for the Enclave at Imperial Lakes, was nominated for the New Home Sales Person of the Year and sold over 8 million dollars. Doug Pike, the community sales manager for Towne Park in South Lakeland, was recognized for selling over 6 million dollars.
Amy Cooper and Denise Abercrombie were two of the sales people who achieved between 1 and 3 million dollars in sales. Both Amy and Denise are new to the Tampa new home sales industry, but despite their beginner status, both had a great year. Several of the other sales team members who did not quite reach the one million dollar in sales mark were in attendance cheering on their teammates.
In today’s economy, these results are outstanding and Highland Homes is proud of all the accomplishments from their sales team.

Dedication, strong leadership and personal commitment have made Highland Homes the largest homebuilder in Polk County. Highland Homes has proudly maintained these virtues ever since.
