Translation and Interpreting Company Global Language Solutions Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification
Orange County, CA, December 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Translation and interpreting company Global Language Solutions®, Inc. (GLS) announces its recent advances in quality. The firm, which serves global companies in highly regulated industries, has successfully passed its yearly ISO 9001 re-certification audit. GLS obtained initial ISO 9001:2000 certification almost two years ago, and was recently re-certified to the new ISO 9001:2008 standard by BSI Group, a leading testing, registration, and certification organization.
ISO 9001:2008 is globally regarded as the most comprehensive standard on quality management systems and practices. It was established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an organization of national standards institutes of 162 countries and the foremost authority on quality standards. The ISO 9001:2008 standard clarifies existing requirements of the previous standard, ISO 9001:2000.
With clients across many regulated industries, including life sciences, financial, and legal, GLS adheres to thorough processes and procedures for not only quality of work, but also often to protect the privacy of its clients’ patients, subjects, and customers.
The deadline for all ISO 9001:2000 certified companies to be re-certified to the new 2008 standard is November 2010. Olga Smirnova, CEO of GLS, comments: "We are proud to achieve certification to the ISO 9001:2008 standard one year earlier than the deadline required. We believe this gives our global clients and partners additional assurances of our commitment to quality."
