Clear Computing Announces Two-Way Stop-by-Stop Driver Reporting
Clear Computing, developer of the Total Activity Control operations management system, announced an expansion of the paperless office with two-way, real-time communications between office and driver. The office will be in control of every driver’s jobs all day long, and the driver will be able to send back immediate status updates using any mobile device, e.g., iPhone, Net book, Blackberry, etc.
Tinton Falls, NJ, December 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Clear Computing, developer of the Total Activity Control operations management system, announced that they are adding two-way, real-time communications between office and driver to their 2010 product release. This new feature, added to their electronic Write-on-Work Orders and Write-on-Service Routes, fits into their ongoing goal to provide money-saving, paperless operations to their customers.
With this feature, the office sends work orders or service stops from the Total Activity Control system via emails to each driver. Drivers will be able to view the detailed information, along with optional attachments, and send real-time status messages back to the office using colored status buttons.
“We’re really excited how easily this fits into our customer’s operations with no special hardware,” said Joel Smith, Clear Computing Technology Officer. “The office will be in control of every driver’s jobs all day long, and the driver will be able to send back immediate status updates using any mobile device, e.g., iPhone, Net book, Blackberry, etc.”
“Since the driver only has to click a button and send the message, it is easy for the driver to report what gets done,” Joel added. “And now the smart phones and netbooks we already own can be used to support important communications easily between office and driver.”
A full history of stop-by-stop service is now maintained with no extra clerical effort. This history includes the driver’s name, date, actual time of service, status of work and optional text or image details.
The feature can be customized by each company in many ways. For example, the number, text and color of the status buttons, emails to receive status updates and return message reminders can be set. There are also multiple email formats and optional attachments available.
