The CombiTac modular connector is designed specifically with the customer in mind. It can be utilized in restrictive spaces with a very simple mounting profile and accepts a variety of connections including: power, signal, coaxial, fiber optic and now thermocouple, pneumatics and fluids. Power connectors range in size from 1mm up to 8mm in diameter with current carrying capacities ranging from 5A to 150A. The connectors include a robust mounting carriage, which provide a self-aligning feature when engaging the assemblies. There are two mounting options available: rack and panel or with a coupler locking housing for panel-to-cable connections. When the DIN housings are in the locked position they meet the IP65 rating of protection.* For an extra degree of safety against improper coupling of connector sets, there are four coding variations available. The system easily accommodates different combinations and adjustments without completely redesigning or replacing your interconnections, making MC CombiTac a powerful cost effective option for new product development.
*At the mating interface termination to the connector will dictate overall IP rating. This applies only to the panel to cable connections.
