Casio Supports Resellers, Enhances User Experience with Channel Intelligence’s Where-to-Buy 5.0
Where-to-Buy 5.0 streamlines online consumer purchase process for digital camera manufacturer and resellers
Orlando, FL, December 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today Channel Intelligence, Inc. (CI) (http://www.channelintelligence.com/), a leader in marketing technology and eCommerce solutions, announced that Casio’s micro site for the Exilim digital camera is live with CI’s Where-to-Buy 5.0 solution. The introduction of Where-to-Buy 5.0 on the Casio Exilim micro site immediately simplified the buying process for consumers on a product by showcasing all buying options through a click of the BUY button, making it easy to directly access the resellers’ product pages. Casio also implemented an embedded version, the first of its kind to be used in eCommerce, to ensure shoppers can find buying information regardless of navigation path.
The goal behind the design of CI’s Where-to-Buy 5.0 product locator is to support all the ways today’s online shoppers like to buy. Where-to-Buy 5.0 is the first product locator to display all consumer buying options in the same user interface, so shoppers who visit a manufacturer's web site can see immediately where to buy the products they are viewing. Shoppers can see retailers with the specific product in stock and where they can buy it online or locally, as well as retailers offering buy-online-pick-up-in-store. The interface also provides dealer locator functionality, which lists retailers that do not carry the specific product being searched but do carry similar products within the same category.
“We’ve been a long-time supporter of providing where-to-buy functionality on our site,” states Toshi Iguchi, Senior General Manager of Casio’s Digital Imaging Division. “However, the new 5.0 version really takes where-to-buy to the next level. To be able to support all our resellers, from the big box stores, mass merchants and large e-tailers as well as our local regional independent dealers is important to us. With 5.0 everybody wins: the consumer, the resellers and Casio.”
Casio has been a CI customer for two years using previous versions of CI’s where-to-buy offering as well as content syndication services. Performance for Casio year over year from December 2007 through November 2009 has been tremendous. Leads from Casio to its resellers are up 204 percent, orders are up 79 percent while units sold rose 123 percent and sales increased by 116 percent year over year.
Other manufacturers using CI to power their web sites’ where-to-buy product locator include Samsung, Philips, Garmin, Sony Playstation, Kimberly-Clark, Black & Decker, JVC, Cisco-Linksys, Newell-Rubbermaid, Logitech, Yamaha and many more.
