To qualify for the certification, Verbout --
1) Successfully completed 64 credit hours of IBBA courses, passing each course exam with a score of at least 75%. Courses included ethics, financial analysis, business pricing and valuation, legal and tax classes.
2) Agreed to follow the IBBA’s Code of Ethics and submit personal references.
3) Met the minimum requirement of three years full-time business brokerage experience within the prior ten years, and was involved in the deal-making process, or management of the process.
In addition, Verbout will be required to participate in continuing professional development activities.
