U.S. Green Building Council Approves 11 New RedVector Online Courses
Tampa, FL, December 31, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Thirty-four additional course hours bring RedVector’s USGBC-approved total to 95 hours of green building and design online education
RedVector, the company that offers the most complete line of online LEED exam preparation products in the marketplace, has just received the U.S. Green Building Council’s approval for 11 new courses. The new interactive offerings add 34 course hours to RedVector’s green building and design library, bringing the company’s USGBC-approved total to 95 – the most online hours in the industry. The new courses are ideal for LEED and Green Associate exam prep, and for fulfilling the Continuing Maintenance (CM) requirement that will go into effect in mid-2010 for all LEED Accredited Professionals (APs) and Green Associates. Starting this summer, CM will be mandatory as follows:
Green Associate – 15 hours every 2 years (3 hours LEED specific)
AP with specialty – 30 hours every 2 years (6 hours LEED specific)
Now, with the USGBC’s approval of titles such as “Green Building: Commercial High-Performance Guidelines,” “Solar Electric Generation: Technologies,” and “Biofilters: A Natural Approach to Storm Water Pollutant Removal,” RedVector’s students will find more officially sanctioned options for study in the green design and building arena than with any other online course provider.
RedVector has consistently led the online continuing education industry in green building and design with exclusive products like its Level 1 University of Tennessee Online Certificate in Sustainable Design and Green Buildings. The company recently added new UT Level 2 packages that focus on Sustainable Sites, Materials & Resources, Water Efficiency, and Energy & Atmosphere.
“When RedVector joined the USGBC in January of 2009, we pledged to support the organization’s initiatives and the Council’s goal to drive green market transformation through quality education,” said Ryan Sparks, Vice President of Content for RedVector.com. “Since then, we’ve had the honor of becoming a USGBC Registered Provider and have introduced industry-leading green online education exclusives in conjunction with UT’s College of Architecture and Design. Simply put, we’re more committed than ever to delivering the newest and best green building and design materials to A/E/C professionals.”
