Less Me and More We. Teamwork Triumph at Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket
They say teamwork divides the task and doubles the success. This was certainly the case recently when two Relay Teams, comprised of ambassadors of Sheraton Grande Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort, Phuket successfully completed the Laguna Phuket Triathlon 2009, competing against a truly global field of inspired athletes.
Phuket, Thailand, January 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The event saw Sheraton Team B with a finish time of 3:11:10 and Sheraton Team A with a finish time of 3:11:21 take 3rd and 4th place respectively in the Team Relay, conquering the 1.8km swim, 55km bike and 12km run demonstrating the effectiveness of “TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More.”
Some 1,000 athletes crossed the start line including 50 Relay Teams to compete in the Laguna Phuket Triathlon on December 6.
Khun Rewat Sumain, from Sheraton’s Recreation department, representing Sheraton Team A took to the water of the uniquely designed 1.8k swim. Khun Somkit Houpet from the Stewarding department, Sheraton Team A and Khun Manop Suwannachit, Recreation department, Sheraton Team B both competed in the bike segments whilst Khun Niwat Sinplachai from the Food and Beverage department completed the run in sizzling temperatures.
About The Triathlon
Race start at 7am with a two wave swim start at the Laguna Beach Resort beachfront on Bang Tao Beach. The swim distance is 1.8km with a 100m sprint to swim the last 620m in a lagoon. The bike course is 55k and the run course is a 12k route around the Laguna Phuket complex.
