Third Wave Digital Redesigned Museum of Arts & Sciences Website
Macon, GA, October 17, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Third Wave Digital, headquartered in Macon, Georgia, announced the launch of the redesigned web presence for the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences.
The recently launched site www.masmacon.com features a new overall design theme with accompanying custom graphics and a greatly improved navigation system that makes accessing the huge amount of data available on the Museum of Arts and Sciences site easier and more intuitive. For the new MAS website Third Wave Digital provided a complete e-commerce solution for the Museum Store and a host of membership, donation and contribution transactions. The newly launched website is part of the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences efforts to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
The MAS staff conducted an extensive search for a vendor with the qualifications to handle a project of this size and scope. Newly appointed Museum Director Suzanne Harper stated "the requirements for our web redesign were numerous and the overall goal of this project was ambitious". Considering the main web presence for MAS had not been overhauled in several years the new web site had to be built from the ground up and encompass many features that have become standard on the internet today. Harper added "We have complete confidence that Third Wave Digital has delivered us an excellent product to help our marketing and promotion efforts for years to come."
Carla Schwab, Business Operations Manager for Third Wave Digital, said "Creating a web presence for an institution with such a prominent identity in the community was a task we took very seriously and the new site reflects our pride to be associated with such a stellar organization." The new MAS website allows visitors to explore the museum's offerings via detailed reviews on current and future exhibits as well as a wealth of information about the museum's many astronomy and natural science programs. Teachers and students alike will now have unprecedented access to the Museum of Arts and Sciences many education programs ranging from information about class field trips and group tours to the ability to book programs directly online. Visitors of all ages interested in expanding their knowledge can now readily access the wide selection of educational classes and activity camps the museum offers.
Third Wave Digital partnered with DynApp Corporation to develop a customized Content Management Application that will allow the MAS staff to make daily changes, updates and revisions to the site in a very simple "plain English" format. Bart Campione, President of Third Wave Digital stated, "Our partnership with DynApp was essential in providing the Museum of Arts and Sciences with the backend tools needed to maximize their investment and keep the website content fresh well into the future."
