CT REIA Announces The Apartment Owners Association of Connecticut January 2010 Quarterly Meeting
On January 13, 2010, the Apartment Owners Association of Connecticut will be hosting its quarterly meeting with Attorney Gary Lavigne and insurance Broker John Czel.
Meriden, CT, January 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, in association with the Apartment Owners Association of Connecticut, or AOACT, is announcing the January 2010 AOACT quarterly meeting with Attorney Gary Lavigne and Insurance Broker John Czel. This event will take place on Wednesday, January 13th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, at the Comfort Inn in Meriden, CT. This event is free for AOACT members and $30 for non-members.
Attorney Gary Lavigne will be discussing how to protect apartment building investments legally and correctly, and how to establish a new LLC. John Czel will review the insurance needed for apartment building owners: how is coverage different if you own a new building vs. an older building, how to adjust to local laws, how much insurance do you really need, and reducing claims risks using insurance and non-insurance strategies. Other topics that will be discussed include: guidelines for tenant screening, Fire Marshall do’s and don’ts, and landlording information exchange with other members and local experts.
