San Antonio Telecommunications & Entertainment Golf Association Opens Membership to Internet/Publishing/Broadcast/Entertainment Professionals

San Anonio, TX, January 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Effective January 1st, 2010, SATEGA, The San Antonio Telecommunications Employees Golf Association, was renamed The San Antonio Telecommunications & Entertainment Golf Association, and opened membership to professionals in the Internet, Publishing, Broadcast and Entertainment Industries. Scott Cossart, Director of Sales for Symmetricom and SATEGA President explained, “SATEGA was formed by a few Southwestern Bell Telephone employees in 1953 as a way to play competitive golf and network. Since that time, the definition of a telecommunications employee has blurred. Telephone lines now carry television and internet content, not to mention the cellular and cable industries, so it made sense for the organization to be inclusive of those professionals involved in the content, packaging and performance of what is communicated.” SATEGA Operations Director and AT&T Area Manager Larry Doerre added, “The addition of these industry professionals to SATEGA membership will provide a higher level of competition, for all skill levels, on the many South Texas courses we play.
