Long Beach Graduation Supply Company Donates Thousands of Tshirts to the Homeless
Long Beach, CA, January 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rhyme University, a manufacturer of preschool and kindergarten graduation caps and gowns, donated over 2,400 new t-shirts and sweatshirts to a Collette's Children Home - a homeless shelter for women and children in Southern California.
As school apparel manufacturers for teachers, students and graduates, Rhyme University was able to deliver T-shirts and sweatshirts of all sizes to Colette’s Children Home - a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization in Huntington Beach, CA. For over 10 years Colette’s has offered shelter and supportive services to homeless women and children in an area with one of the highest rate of homelessness per capita in the nation.
“We understand the importance of giving back and helping those in need and thanks to our customers we were in a position to help. Collette’s Children Home helps women and children who might not normally receive it and we’re proud to support their efforts.” said Jason Hilbert, Rhyme University's Vice President. “These sweatshirts will help keep women and children warm during the winter months as well as give them something new to wear for the holidays.”
Rhyme University's donation started delivery just before Thanksgiving and will continue until the beginning of 2010.
The following was written by the child of a mother helped through one of the programs offered by Colette’s. “As you have probably heard, we are graduating today. I wanted to write and tell you how much my mother and I appreciate all your love, support, and assistance. You have helped us in so many ways. We will Always remember your kindness with eternal gratitude. You all are like family now and we really love all of you. We will stay in touch, drop in when possible, and of course return for the Christmas party. With oceans of love.”
