Sticky Fingers Bakeries Launches New Promos and Marketing Strategies for Their Line of Premium English Scones in 2010

Spokane, WA, January 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sticky Fingers Bakeries does not see the current economic downturn as a time to run for cover. “We are doing everything we can think of to support the needs of our customers, bending over backwards as much as possible,” states Tom Owens, co-owner of Sticky Fingers Bakeries. “We are offering special discounts, absorbing a portion of their shipping costs and we give out generous sampling allowances. We are increasing our market presence with an aggressive advertising and marketing campaign, which includes utilizing the Internet and it’s marketing aspects as well as restructuring our website to give us the ability to communicate in a more direct and personal way with our customer base. Tenacity and timing is everything, and with a little luck, we will be poised to catch the next wave.”

First in the nation to offer traditional English Scone mixes, Sticky Fingers initial marketing approach was twofold. First, they had to introduce the American consumer to an age-old favorite in England. Second, they had to market the concept that their customers could get home-baked goodness in a just-add-water mix. The success of their first launch allowed them to add the perfect complement, English curds and Northwest jams. Over the years, their marketing approach has been one of pure creativity, expanding their lines to Muffin, Brownie, and Bread mixes, all with an emphasis on all natural, kosher ingredients, ease in preparation, and bold flavors that reflect current trends, or at times, set them. Currently, Sticky Fingers Bakeries has over a dozen flavors of Premium English Scone mixes, brownies and muffins.

About Sticky Fingers Bakeries

In 1987, they opened Sticky Fingers Bakery, in San Diego, California, offering fresh-baked breads and pastries. In 1989, they began making authentic English scones, based on a recipe from Ted Vogelman's British-born mother. These light and luscious scones became so popular, they reformulated the recipe and created the first ever quick and easy English Scone mix. Realizing they had developed something special, they began to package the mix and sell it to the Specialty Foods Industry. Success soon followed, and by 1992, they had sold the bakery and moved to Spokane, Washington, where they opened Sticky Fingers Bakeries Specialty Foods, Inc.
