Back Country Primitives’ primitive wood signs are hand crafted to order and have the look and feel of antique wood signs made over 100 years ago. Back Country Primitives’ signs are designed to look and feel like they have been buried in a barn, tucked away in some long forgotten root cellar or nailed to an old oak tree. The unique distressing process used by Back Country Primitives is a tribute to the creative talents and workmanship of Owner/Artist Dave Constine.
Each primitive sign is signed and dated by artist Dave Constine and hand crafted from 100% white pine – no plyboard or MDF. Each purchased sign is Custom made after the sale – this allows each client to choose their own background and text colors. Each sign is a unique work of art and no two will ever look the same. These signs are heavily distressed and hand stained for that authentic primitive feel. Each sign is treated with a non toxic sealant coat to protect against the elements and comes with sawtooth hangers.
