Earlier this week, Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com told news sources they booted the "festive fatties" off the site after they posted photos of themselves during the holidays showing they had "let themselves go." Site founder Robert Hintze added in a company statement: “Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded.”
“Marilyn Monroe was a size 12, which today is considered large,” says Tompkins. “If she were to join that site, would she get voted off for being too fat? Unfortunately, it looks that way.”
