Texas Insurance Agents Focus on the Future for 16th Annual Day at the Capitol
Texas Association of Health Underwriters Hosts Legislative Day in Austin
Austin, TX, January 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU), a professional organization of more than 1700 independent health insurance agents from across the state of Texas, is hosting its 16th annual Day at the Capitol on January 21st in downtown Austin. The legislative day will provide Texas agents the venue to discuss issues affecting clients and the industry with other experts in the field and Texas legislators.
“Each year TAHU hosts the Day at the Capitol so agents can convene, share concerns and updates in the industry and most importantly express the needs of our clients to legislators,” TAHU president Rusty Rice said. “This year TAHU will focus on the future and issues that are important to insurance consumers. We hope that the legislative day will provide agents with the tools to be at the cutting edge of our industry and help shape the next legislative session in Texas.”
The 16th Annual Day at the Capitol will feature opening remarks by TAHU president Rusty Rice, a panel discussion on the state of wellness in America and its effects on the cost of healthcare and the most recent developments in the Texas health insurance industry. The legislative day will take place on January 21, 2010 at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin hotel in downtown Austin. Attendees must register in advance and can do so online at www.TAHU.org underneath the ‘calendar’ tab.
