CADO Real Estate Group's Michael Hixson Receives Prestigious Award from University of California, Irvine
Michael Hixson of CADO Real Estate Group, Inc. is honored with "Distinguished Instructor" award by University of California, Irvine, for excellence as an educator in the University's Extension certificates in "Marketing for the Residential Builder" and "Light Construction and Development Management" programs.
Irvine, CA, January 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- University of California, Irvine Extension recently presented “Distinguished Instructor” awards to individuals that the school described as its most “exceptional educators.” Among this year’s eleven recipients was Michael Hixson, partner in CADO Real Estate Group and its executive vice president, who has been an Extension instructor there since 1987, teaching in the “Marketing for the Residential Builder (IRM)” and “Light Construction and Development Management” certificate programs. In addition, Hixson serves on the programs’ Advisory Committee, which he has chaired twice in recent years, and is a designated national instructor for the National Association of Home Builders’ Institute of Residential Marketing (IRM).
According to the University, the Distinguished Instructor Award is given annually to “…educators who demonstrate outstanding performance in their creative use of educational techniques, a continuous commitment and flexibility in addressing student needs and presentation of current and relevant materials that positively impact the student’s careers or life, while demonstrating qualities that inspire enthusiasm and enhanced learning.”
In accepting the award, Hixson stated that “There are few greater honors than being able to share one’s expertise in such as way that it helps improve and further an individual’s career and professional aspirations at a time when one is seeking personal growth. I’ve been blessed with hearing this type of feedback from former students many times over the years, and it never ceases to reinforce what a positive experience teaching can be at this level. I am truly honored and humbled by this award,” he concluded. Hixson is also a two-time recipient of “Outstanding Service” awards from the University.
