Key-Systems Expands Its Product Offering with vServers
Depositing files, providing websites, processing emails, organizing nameservers – all of these activities require servers. The domain registrar Key-Systems now offers compact vServer solutions for these needs via its end customer portal domaindiscount24.com and its reseller portal RRPproxy.net. While customers of classical hosting use the software on the provider's system, vServers allow a higher degree of customization.
Leesburg, VA, January 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Users can install and configure applications on their own vServer at will. Whether a vServer serves as a nameserver, a download server, a web server, simply as memory capacity or a combination of these, is at the client’s discretion. Virtual servers (vServers) are not physically discretionary servers, but rather partitions of a real, superior server. Through its shared use resources are saved, which defines vServers as a well-priced alternative to a dedicated server. vServers are configured as closed systems. Thus, every client can autonomously use his own vServer. His systems and applications run isolated – users can not access other partitions on the same server.
The management of the vServers offered by Key-Systems is possible via web interface or automatically via API (only for resellers). Clients can choose between the manual installation of an operation system per remote desktop or an automatic installation. Six different operation systems are provided for installation: Gentoo, SUSE, Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS and Fedora. Every vServer includes full root access. Other highlights are the graphic access via VCN logs and the guaranteed use of the working memory (no shared memory). The host systems (Supermicro/Intel with Raid Hardware) of the vServers derive from the Thomas-Krenn.AG. The broad band connection is provided by Filoo.
Key-Systems offers vServers in three power levels:
vServer 512 CPU 1, Memory 512 MB, Disk 20 GB
vServer 1024 CPU 2, Memory 1024 MB, Disk 40 GB
vServer 2048 CPU 4, Memory 2048 MB, Disk 80 GB
Key-Systems currently manages more than 2.5 million domains. According to domain info-portals like Registrarstats.com Key-Systems is one of the 20 largest domain registrars worldwide. The company with 44 employees has direct access to the registries of more than 200 domain endings like .DE or .COM.
