College Park Rotary Sends 6 to RYLA
Orlando, FL, January 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The College Park Rotary Club is sponsoring 6 outstanding students from the community to attend the 2010 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). RYLA is an intensive training program for high school sophomores and juniors. The RYLA experience prepares young people to be leaders in their community, profession and other facets of everyday life.
These talented young people will be attending a weekend-long workshop, organized by Rotarians, which will take place February 25-28, 2010. The workshop enables young people to debate issues of professional responsibility and human relations, improve leadership and communication skills, learn about businesses and institutions and meet Rotarians from their area while having fun and making new friends.
The College Park Rotary Club will be sending the following students to RYLA:
Natalie Aders, 10th grader at West Orange High School
Andrew Erwin, 11th grader at Winter Park High School
Thor Johnsen, 10 grader at Wekiva High School
Jordan Jones, 10th grader at Lake Highland Preparatory School
