Best Selling Timeshare Book Ever Published?
With over 55,000 copies sold, this may be the best selling timeshare book ever published.
Oak Harbor, WA, October 21, 2006 --(PR.com)-- MinRef Press today announced publication of the 2007 edition of Owner to Owner: Guide to WorldMark Ownership which just may be the best selling timeshare book ever published.
“We first published this title in 2002,” a MinRef Press spokesperson said recently. “The book is updated annually by the author. To date, we’ve sold over 55,000 copies. This is an amazing number for a small press publisher, and an equally amazing total for a timeshare-related book.”
Written by Rick Lawler, a WorldMark owner, this book was designed to help owners of the WorldMark vacation ownership program get the most out of their vacations. It’s also a valuable tool for anyone considering WorldMark ownership as well as timeshare ownership in general.
A slim 120-page paperback, Owner to Owner: Guide to WorldMark Ownership includes chapters on making reservations, exchanging, using Bonus Time, and tips and tricks. The book also lists current and upcoming WorldMark resorts. Using a credit system, WorldMark’s 250,000 owners can choose when, when, how long, and the size of unit for each vacation. Owners currently have 60 resorts in their ownership portfolio, and more to come.
The book is updated annually in order to list new resorts and changes in program opportunities. “For example,” Lawler said, “Trendwest just announced acquisition of resorts in Red River, New Mexico and Mission Valley (San Diego) California.” The past year also saw additional units added to several resorts, and new resorts added to the system such as Indio and downtown San Diego.
Lawler, a member of the Authors Guild, and author of How to Contact World Leaders, was so enthused about the WorldMark program, he just had to write it all down in a book. “We’re as excited about our ownership today,” Lawler said recently, “as when we joined back in 1995.”
The book is sold through WorldMark resort gift shops, via eBay, the publisher’s web site (www.minref.com), WorldMark’s online gift shop, and to the owner enhancement program at Trendwest Resorts. Trendwest markets, sells and develops the resorts for WorldMark owners. All resorts are deeded to WorldMark owners debt free.
“Most timeshare owners don’t have to make a lot of decisions,” Lawler said. “They own a specific week in a specific unit at a specific resort. WorldMark owners, on the other hand, have a wealth of vacation opportunities. This is great, but it can also create confusion.” Hence, Lawler’s book.
Owner to Owner: Guide to WorldMark Ownership is a trade-size paperback, 120 pages, with a cover price of $7.95. The ISBN is 978-1-930322-11-0.
