God’s Green America Honors African Leaders
Cambridge, MA, January 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- God’s Green Africa, a division of God’s Green America, announced today a call for nominations for its “Change Africa, Change the World” Leadership Awards.
Winners will be announced in October 2010 and championed in a book, “Change Africa, Change the World” authored by God’s Green Africa President Cheryl Hill featuring the 49 African award-winners who are leading the way in sustainable solutions for Africa’s environmental and economic growth.
“Africa’s intellectual and material wealth is about to flourish. We are honored to be in a position to inject resources and funding into initiatives that are changing the face of Africa today,” states God’s Green Africa President Dr. Cheryl Hill.
God’s Green Africa’s Leadership Awards will be presented to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in Africa achievements towards sustainability goals in the following areas:
Renewable Energy
Energy Efficiency
Environmental Stewardship
Education
Alternative Fuels
Economic Development
Health Initiatives
Nominees will be judged based on their sphere of influence, their impact on people’s lives and the results of their efforts both in quantity of resources saved and quality of products and their economic impact. The awards committee is comprised of members from private business, nonprofit organizations, government and educational institutions.
“The hope of the world’s tomorrow is hidden in the young talent that is Africa,” said Thom Black, President of God’s Green America. “We are very excited to see what this decade will hold for African entrepreneurship.”
