Kim Brown, Vice President Information Technology, IHS is named to the CSIA, Board of Directors
Denver, CO, January 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CSIA, Colorado’s Technology Association, today announced Kim Brown, Vice President Information Technology at IHS unanimously was named to the organization’s Board of Directors at their December Board meeting. With Kim’s appointment, the Board now has 34 executives, entrepreneurs, and advisors representing the Colorado technology industry.
“Kim has extensive experience in information technology including from one of the largest technology companies in Colorado, and has a passion for encouraging women to expand their career horizons within IT,” said Su Hawk, President, CSIA. “Kim’s knowledge of global IT operations and complex strategy will add so much to accomplish our mission.”

Brown is currently Vice President Information Technology at IHS where she is responsible for all Internal Business Applications, Project Management, Compliance, Mergers & Acquisitions for Technology, Web Site Center of Excellence, and Business Intelligence. She is an experienced and accomplished business leader with outstanding achievements in the management and operations of information technology systems that delivered cost savings, increased profitability, on time project management and improved customer satisfaction. Prior to IHS, Brown was Director of Information Technology at Oracle (previously PeopleSoft and JD Edwards). Here Brown led the deployment of ERP solutions to internal colleagues and customer facing organizations, partnered with product development on software design for HCM commercial products, and oversaw the system integrations of acquired colleagues for Oracle and PeopleSoft. Previously, Brown was in HR management at Informix Software where she was responsible for global HR systems and compensation for technology groups.
