Former DEA Official Joins Global HR Research to Lead Investigative Division
Naples, FL, October 21, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Global HR Research, LLC., a nationwide provider of employment background screening and investigative services based in Southwest, Florida announced today that former DEA agent in charge Richard Crawford has joined the company as Vice President. Crawford brings more than 25 years of federal experience to Global HR Research. Crawford will be responsible for building and maintaining a network of experience and services to benefit local and national clients responsible for safe hiring and security due diligence.

Prior to joining Global HR Research, Crawford served as an agent and administrator for the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). He began his career in 1972 with DEA’s predecessor agency, the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD). He worked as a street agent in New York until 1983 where he initiated numerous international drug trafficking and money laundering investigations. Crawford also directed international undercover assignments in Colombia, Panama, Guatemala, Jamaica and Italy. In 1987 he became the first and only DEA agent to testify against the cartel in Colombia.
In 1992, Crawford was promoted to supervisory agent and transferred to Fort Myers, where he was in charge of DEA operations for Southwest Florida. He served as the agent in charge of DEA’s Fort Myers resident office and the DEA Naples task force until his retirement in 1997. Crawford holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Villanova University and a Private Investigator license.
