Adroit Construction to Implement Workspace Mini for 55 Users
Workspace will address critical areas of Email Retention, Document Management and CRM.
Nottingham, United Kingdom, January 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical contractors Adroit have placed an order for Workspace mini, the latest knowledge sharing and project collaboration tool from Union Square Software. Adroit, based in Bromsgrove with offices in London, Manchester and Glasgow last year turned over £10m.
Workspace mini has been designed as a comprehensive out of the box construction management software solution which can be implemented in just 8 weeks. Following the implementation Adroit will benefit from standardised processes and knowledge management techniques to enable world class project management.
Email Management is a major concern to Adroit; the ineffective storage and sharing of emails is posing a major QA threat. Site based staff tend to store emails on their laptops and bulk copy onto the project file when they are back in the office. This makes searching impossible as all emails are filed with the same date. This was an issue that was raised time and time again and a solution was required.
Managing Director Geoff Allchurch and PA Emma Conway were impressed with the Workspace offering from the off, “Workspace could solve all of our problems surrounding email and document control and also offer a fully integrated CRM system that can be used for managing commercial campaigns.”
Document storage was also an area of concern; currently documents are stored in multiple locations with inconsistent folder structures and file names. Access to documents and project details that you have not authored is a challenge. “Workspace will address these issues by introducing a central place to store all documents and emails enabling self service of information. Workspace will also assist with ISO accreditation by introducing consistency to procedures and ensuring all staff are working in the same way,” comments Geoff.
Adroit decided to implement the out of the box mini solution which requires less customisation and consultation time. Geoff comments, “Whilst all the Managers were confident in the system, cost was an area of concern. By implementing Workspace mini we can implement a solution to address the most pertinent business issues first and at half the cost of the full system. The flexibility of the Workspace solution means that as demand increases and we want to develop the system further we have the option to upgrade to the full Workspace ix platform to include additional functionality such as timesheets, training and skills management.”
Emma was impressed with Union Square throughout the sales process: “We have spent a long time deliberating over the Workspace purchase and Union Square have gone out of their way to make sure that we fully understand the product and the implications of the change that we are embarking on. We are looking forward to getting started on the project and continuing with a successful working relationship.”
