Aircraft Landing on a Road Near Leogane, Haiti to Deliver Food, Supplies and Doctors
Oxford, CT, January 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Tradewind Aviation has been delivering supplies, food and doctors to an isolated area near the epicenter of both the earthquake and aftershock in Haiti.
There are no airports in the area so a 1200 foot stretch of road has allowed the Cessna Grand Caravans to land and deliver up to 3000 pound of supplies from Santiago, DR up to six times a day.
Tradewind Aviation is based in Oxford, CT with a seasonal satellite operation San Juan, Puerto Rico, a 2 hour flight to the Dominican republic.
