PAMP Aims to Repeat the Outstanding $30k Proceeds Raised from the 2004 Tsunami Relief Bake Sale for Haiti Victims
Palo Alto, CA, January 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Parents Club of Palo Alto Menlo Park (PAMP) is hosting a Haiti Earthquake Relief Bake Sale in front of Draeger’s in Menlo Park this Saturday, January 23, 2010, from 8 AM to 3 PM. PAMP has a successful history of mobilizing the community in Natural disaster relief efforts. Proceeds from a Bake Sale the club hosted for Tsunami victims exceeded an astonishing $30,000 in one day.
The PAMP Club is also raising funds on their website as well as collecting items like food, clothing and household items at upcoming club events. It is important to note that 100% of raised funds go directly to support the earthquake victims.
In addition, Enoch Choi, a PAMP father, PAMF doctor and former Board member, will be going to Haiti and serve outpatient needs. “I will aid support personnel who can bring critically needed medical supplies to a mobile outpatient clinic in Haiti,” says Choi. He adds “if direct transport of this team is attained, they will distribute basic life support supplies, water purification, hygiene, and other locally collected related health items such as Tylenol, ibuprofen, and nasal saline, which are the most needed items.”
The Parents Club of Palo Alto Menlo Park (PAMP) is a 3000+ volunteer-led, non-profit organization that provides support, social activities and structures to network and learn from each other.
