Andrea Young, Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Development, BI Inc. is named to the CSIA, Board of Directors

Denver, CO, January 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CSIA, Colorado’s Technology Association, today announced Andrea Young, Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Development at BI Inc., unanimously was named to the organization’s Board of Directors at their December Board meeting. With Andrea’s appointment, the Board now has 34 executives, entrepreneurs, and advisors representing the Colorado technology industry.

“Andrea has led the information technology teams among many different industries, including public safety, financial, telecom, and real estate,” said Su Hawk, President, CSIA. “Technology and IT are the engine for all other industries, so having Andrea’s expertise and perspectives will complement the work we do for the industry as it relates to all other industries.”

Young has more than 20 years of experience in information technology systems. Presently, Young is the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Development at BI Incorporated, a leading provider of location monitoring technology and treatment services for community corrections agencies located in Boulder, CO. Her responsibilities include overseeing BI’s information technology systems and software development team, a key role in BI achieving its enterprise-wide strategic goals. Prior to BI, Young was Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Information Technology for Janus Capital Group. She managed an annual operating budget of more than $75 million and a staff of more than 200. In addition, Young has worked for ConferTech – now Polycom, Inc., a manufacturer of audio conference bridge systems and services; McGraw-Hill, Inc., a leading institution in the financial services and education and business information markets; and Kroh Brothers Real Estate.
