Has One of the Worlds Most Sought After Paintings Been Found? Find Out in Don Phillips Latest Book The Missing Monet

Denver, CO, November 09, 2006 --(PR.com)-- A Monet painting has been missing since World War Two..It apparently has shown up in the past, just to go missing again, thus its name: "The Missing Monet."

Jim and Sarah are on the trail of the "Missing Monet", but  not without danger. A large, widespread crime family is also after the painting and they'll stop at nothing, including murder, to obtain it.

This is a story of a painting. In 1868 Claude Monet painted a picture of his lilly pad pond and gave it to Fredric Bazille, a young Impressionist painter who had befriended and financially supported Monet during Monet's lean years. In 1870 Bazille joined the French Army during the Franco-Prussian War. He was killed in one of the early battles. The painting stayed in the Bazille family until, devastated by the war, the Bazilles sold the painting to a wealthy Jewish Importer from Poland. In 1939, and the Nazi invasion of Poland, the painting was confiscated and sent to various locations under Nazi control. Now, in 2005, Jim Weatherby (a C.P.A.), and his raven haired girlfriend (who has an Art History degree), are on the trail of the "Missing Monet". That trail, plagued by danger from a crime syndicate, leads them from Chicago to Miami, to Buenos Aires and finally to Berlin. But will they find the "Missing Monet" before the crime syndicate finds them?
