Drury Names a New Director of the Breech School of Business Administration
Drury University selects Michael Shirley from the University of Central Oklahoma to be the new director of the Breech School of Business Administration.
Springfield, MO, January 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Michael Shirley has been named the new director of the Breech School of Business Administration. He is currently the dean of the College of Business Administration and a professor of legal studies at the University of Central Oklahoma. Shirley will begin his duties at Drury on July 1.
Shirley has been at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) for more than 25 years. Besides his current positions, he has served as a department chair, executive assistant to the president, and associate vice president for academic affairs at UCO. A 1978 graduate of Oklahoma State University, Shirley earned a law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1981.
“It is my honor to be selected as the next Director of the Breech School of Business Administration,” Shirley said. “The opportunity to work in collaboration with the talented faculty, staff and students of Drury, continuing its long-standing tradition and commitment to academic excellence, is an incredible and exciting privilege.”
Shirley replaces Dr. Robert Wyatt who left Drury in the spring of 2009 to become the president of Coker College in South Carolina. Professor of Economics Dr. Bill Rohlf will remain as the interim director of the Breech School of Business Administration until Shirley’s arrival this summer.
