Gala Rolls out the Red Carpet and Hope for Teens on Chicago’s West Side Christ the King College Preparatory School Presents the 2nd Annual King of Hearts Gala February 19, 2010.
Chicago, IL, January 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- More than 500 people are expected to celebrate Christ the King College Preparatory School, the first Catholic high school on Chicago’s West Side in 85 years, at the “King of Hearts Gala,” February 19, 2010 at 6 p.m. The evening of dining, dancing, entertainment and an auction, is shining the spotlight on and being held at the school’s recently-opened, state-of-the art $27 million building at 5088 W. Jackson Boulevard.
More than 500 guests will receive the royal treatment and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of youngsters that live in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. There, less than half of the teens graduate high school. Christ the King Jesuit embraces these students, offering a loving learning environment where oppression, violence and economic predators are not allowed.
In addition to enjoying a wonderful evening of dinner, entertainment and a live auction, attendees can help create real change in the lives of these students and their families. Proceeds from the event directly offset tuition costs for students.
Entertainment is being provided by Gentleman of Leisure and the school’s phenomenal Gospel choir.
