Cathi Curen, author and educator will host Holistic Children Radio, providing alternative guidance for family challenges.
Los Angeles, CA, January 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Research tells us that social relationships are the key to human happiness. As we embark on a new decade, families are being challenged more than ever before with issues of layoffs, education cuts, and emotional stability. Cathi Curen, author of Parent Quest: Raising Children for the Distance in an Instant World has a passion for helping individuals transcend their difficulties and is launching a radio program that will provide guidance and support specific to these pressing needs.
Holistic Children Radio will explore everyday issues from transitioning through job losses and establishing support through community, to broadening public understanding of the many alternatives available for family holistic health. Program guests include Cathy Jacobsen, The EDGE Magazine; Allan McDougall, grief counselor; Jill Hendrickson, MHt; Jennifer McLean, energy healer; Dr. Charlotte Reznick, child psychologist; Dr. Meg Blackburn Losey, consultant for gifted children; and Minister Richard Rossi.
The aim of Holistic Children Radio says Curen, “Is to create a virtual society to nurture the changing family.” The weekly program will air live, on-line via blogtalkradio starting Saturday January 9, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. PT and will be accessible anytime, anywhere in the world, through archived program recordings. A variety of free tools and discounted products will be available to listeners through the program website: www.holisticchildrenradio.homestead.com.
America’s Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2009 Report states, “Good emotional and behavioral health enhances a child’s sense of well being, supports satisfying social relationships at home and with peers, and leads to achievement of full academic potential.” Curen, who has spent over 20 years as an advocate for children says, “Today’s family is changing and Holistic Children Radio is committed to laying the groundwork for futures to come.”
