Rockleigh, NJ, January 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Crestron today announced the appointment of David Wilts as Director of Intelligent Building Technology (IBT). Crestron IBT is the only single-platform solution that can monitor and control the disparate systems in commercial buildings, including room scheduling, AV presentation, lighting and climate control. Wilts will educate architects, consultants, electrical engineers and lighting designers to promote the benefits of intelligent, integrated building technology. Crestron is dedicated to developing building management systems that will continue to meet the changing needs of architectural design and global network communications.
“We’ve been the leader in end-to-end integrated solutions for decades. This new initiative demonstrates our vision and commitment to lead our industry from analog AV presentation systems to enterprise-wide digital systems integration,”said Randy Klein, Crestron Executive Vice President. “Our industry is uniquely positioned to be the world leaders in complete technology management. “I am eager to bring my industry knowledge to Crestron, and capitalize on its forward-thinking, integrative approach to realize the tremendous growth potential in this market.”A LEED Accredited Professional (AP), Wilts brings extensive experience in integrated IP-based building control and intelligent energy management system design. He has over 20 years of unique experience in designing and managing technically challenging projects for large enterprises, hospitality, higher education, performing arts and high-end residential environments.
“We need to move building science to a more sophisticated level,” explains Wilts. “Right now design teams work in ‘silos’; Crestron integrated building technology can bring all the different design disciplines together to realize huge benefits in terms of control, management and savings. Being a part of the building design process will mean incredible new sales opportunities for our dealers.”
