After 6+ Years, Womb To Grow/Babynut.com Says Bye-Bye
Babynut owners, Saralee Sky and Jerry Kilgore, have decided to close www.babynut.com down by the end of March, 2010. Poor sales and the need to move on were cited as the main reasons.
Bellingham, WA, January 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In November, 2003, Bellingham, Washington couple, Saralee Sky and Jerry Kilgore, launched a web-based business, www.babynut.com. But 2009 was a very difficult year for Babynut. Sales were down over 30%. That fact and the need to move on is what prompted Sky and Kilgore to shut the business down.
“We have decided to close www.babynut.com down by the end of March, 2010,” said Ms Sky. “I have enjoyed so much creating and managing Babynut. It has been a huge focal point for me and a way for me to reach out to mothers and babies and offer love, support, information and healthy products.”
Babynut’s mission is to provide natural and organic products and support for pregnant and adopting families, babies and toddlers. All loving families are celebrated. The site is unique because of its inclusive nature, broad product offerings and quotes of wisdom and humor found throughout the site.
Products now at clearance prices include: organic and natural maternity and nursing clothes, baby and toddler clothes, books on pregnancy, adoption, natural childbirth and parenting, children’s books and music, wooden toys and puzzles, puppets, gift baskets, baby carriers, body products, wellness products, astrology charts and clothing with astrological signs specially designed for Babynut.
Another special feature of the site is a free online and email newsletter - Nutsense! - with articles on parenting or childbirth, book reviews, a featured product and parenting tips. “The articles in Nutsense will live on in my blog, Womb To Grow (http://babynut.blogspot.com),” said Ms Sky. “I will continue to spread the message of the importance of pregnancy and the first three years of a child’s life.”
